Best Writing in an Animated Television/Broadcast Production
An Annie Award for Outstanding Achievement for Writing in an Animated Television/Broadcast Production shall be awarded to a Writer, or a Team of Writers, for creative excellence in the field of animation.
Eligibility: To be eligible to receive this award, an individual or team must have worked in the capacity of, and received screen credit as, a Writer(s) on an animated television or other broadcast venue production, originally appearing the United States between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017.
In the case of a broadcast series, submissions must be per episode. Multiple episodes from a series may be entered provided that each episode is submitted as a separate submission.
If the project for which this individual or team is nominated has either not been released to the public or screened for the membership of ASIFA-Hollywood by October 31st, 2017, a submission of required materials must be provided for the members of this category’s nominating committee or, if materials are not readily available for judging, late projects may, at the production’s discretion, be held for judging during the 46th Award cycle in 2018.
Mechanical Requirements for submission: The following materials must be uploaded to submissions.annieawards.org for this category:
- Clips from the production must be uploaded as a digital video file not exceeding five minutes (5:00) in length. Acceptable formats for video files are listed on vimeo.com/help/compression.
- The complete episode must also be linked or uploaded as a digital video file.
A PDF file of the complete script must be uploaded, as well.
